Garrett is headed back into the Amazon. On this trip he will be training all the Amazonia Expedition guides in Wilderness First Aid at the Tahuayo Lodge in Peru. This is the same lodge FHE is working with as part of Rio Tahuayo: A Lodge Based Jungle Experience. This trip will bring people into an impressive jungle with an authentic Amazon experience, while still providing a comfortable, clean, and relaxed environment at the lodge.
We are proud to be providing this medical training to the lodge and it is proof that they truly care about their standards beyond what is visible at first glance. At FHE we require that all groups have someone trained in wilderness medicine, and soon that will be easy to do while working with this lodge.
